Your Foundations Packet

Your Meeting Journal
Community Space
(for in between meetings)
A few folks sent over other resources and expressed a desire to connect more with one another. I wanted to honor those requests and so here we are!
**Please read prior to joining**
You can join and share reflections under TOPICS > BOOKS about a few chapters at a time if that feels more sustainable for you, or share resources (articles, podcasts, your written reflections etc.,) related to our reading!
One request I have is that it doesn’t became a space to just promote other events/offerings, because those types of groups typically lose a sense of purpose and community pretty quickly!
In order to honor this request, on Monday I’ll post an event post and people can comment there with stuff that’s up and coming.
Mental Health Resources
This book might bring up a whole lot! As some stuff gets stirred up, it’s so important that you are checking in with what you need. Since we are here to support one another on our healing journey, but not in a therapy environment, I also wanted to offer a list of a few resources should you assess that you might benefit from additional support.
Inclusive Therapists
https://www.inclusivetherapists.com/search_results
“Seeking counseling or therapy can be a vulnerable process. To that, add the challenges that marginalized populations face such as micro-aggressions, prejudice, and language/ financial barriers. Getting the right help can become an overwhelming task. Finding a therapist should not feel like a gamble. All identities in all bodies deserve equal access to quality, culturally responsive care. We aim to make this process simpler and safer. I'm glad that you're here. Warmly, Melody”
The Loveland Foundation
https://thelovelandfoundation.org/
“Loveland Foundation is committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Our resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing. We are becoming the ones we’ve been waiting for.”
Therapy for Black Girls
https://providers.therapyforblackgirls.com/
“Find a great therapist for Black girls in your area. Professional help designed just for you.”
